New Beginnings for the Bereaved: A Grief Support Group

This five-week program is designed for individuals and families who are grieving the death of a loved one. Currently this program is being offered through Sands Funeral Chapel in Duncan. Cost: $50 or $10 per week. This fee includes a resource booklet and workbook for you to keep.

The journey through grief and loss following the death of someone we love is one of the toughest and most painful journeys we make in this life. At times the path of grief feels endless; at other times we feel we have no direction. We might feel overwhelmed, lonely, lost or scared. We might feel angry, guilty or depressed. We often feel sad. And many ask the questions, “Why is this so painful? How long will I continue to feel this way? Why is it taking so long?”

Although many of us long for a quick remedy for our grief so that we can “get back to normal” it takes a lot longer to recover than most of us expect. Many of us benefit from walking this path of grieving with others. Because our experience of loss can be so isolating, sharing and listening to the insights and stories of others can be very helpful.

You are warmly invited to join New Beginnings for the Bereaved: A Grief Support Group offered by Sands Funeral Chapel. s $50, or $10 a session.. Please call 250-746-5212 to register for this program. Registration will be limited to 15 participants.
